How To Coupon Without The EXTREME

You ever watch some people and wonder just how they save SO MUCH flipping money on each grocery trip? Well, it takes them A LOT of time, stress and a little bit of the extreme.

I've seen where one person would dumpster dive for newspapers just for the coupons. I am in no way knocking what anyone does. I am actually thoroughly impressed with how much these couponers save each grocery trip. However, if you don't have the time to spend on it like they do. Or if you are like me and just don't want to spend all that time on it. Here are a few tips to help you coupon to where you can save time AND money!

Clip only what you will buy
Extreme couponers will buy whatever is cheap ESPECIALLY if it makes them a few cents. Those are simply called money makers and will give you a few cent credit towards the total bill. And when these couponers spend only a few dollars each shopping trip, those "money maker" cents add up. However, if you don't have a cat, your not going to need 26lbs of cat food just for a few cent "money maker" so don't even bother with it. Only clip a coupon if it is to something you would buy even if you didn't have that coupon. Like deodorant or your favorite brand of chips.

Use cash back apps like ibotta
There are quite a few apps out now that will redeem you for making certain purchases. Ibotta is a pretty popular one. You just select your store. Then for the items you want, you may need to answer a poll or watch a video in order to add it to your list. You will be asked to scan your receipt and or product barcodes to verify that you actually bought it. You will get anywhere from about ten cents to about a dollar, usually. If you would like to sign up for this app and get a whopping $10 just for signing up, use this code! df4rtg

Print coupons twice per computer
You can print up to two of the same coupon per computer. An easy way to do this is to get the Coupons app, clip your coupons, email them to yourself and hop on your computer. Open your email and click the link to print your coupons. Close your tab and print your coupons again. If you have an other computer you can do the same thing. NEVER scan coupons and copy them that way! It's illegal.

Wait for GOOD deals!
A tip I live by: don't use coupons on full price items. Wait till the items go on sale. The app Shopular is a good place to collectively look at a bunch of store ads all at once. It's simple and easy to use instead of having newspapers scattered everywhere or scouring grocer websites for their ads. An other small tip I have for this is to look at the nearby store ads and narrow your searching down to just 2-3 stores you find have the best deals for you. For me, that would Publix "buy one get one free" offers.
